A devastating collision occurred in North York, Toronto, early morning, when a commercial pickup truck suddenly hit and collided with a TTC bus. The heavy truck accident happened at the intersection of Finch Avenue and Yonge Street around 4:20 a.m., after the truck hits the bus, requiring immediate towing services. Eight people were injured, including both drivers and six bus passengers. Three of the injured were rushed to a trauma center with serious injuries, while the others sustained minor injuries. Fortunately, none of the injuries are life-threatening.
Witnesses described the scene as chaotic, with debris everywhere. One witness heard a loud explosion-like sound before seeing the aftermath. The pickup truck driver tried to flee but was caught by police after a short chase. The driver was taken to the hospital and may face charges.
